In terms of the Numerical report (private health insurance) of the Association of Private Health Insurance Companies:
Ancillary insurances to the statutory health insurance, are those, which are only contracted by persons insured in the statutory health insurance.
- Outpatient tariffs
Such tariffs offer insurance protection in the outpatient field, for example benefits for medicines, glasses, hearing aids, preventive medical examinations. Also the reimbursement of the practice fee is possible.
- Tariffs for optional services in hospital
Reimbursed are the costs for accommodation in single- or two-bed rooms (optional service accommodation) and treatment by chief physician.
- Dental tariffs
Usually such tariffs include benefits for dentures, sometimes additionally for dental treatments, inlays and orthodontics. The reimbursement is payed as a partial payment, i.e. a percentage up to a fixd maximum limit.
