European Short List (DRG)
In terms of the Diagnosis Related Groups ("Fallpauschalenbezogene Krankenhausstatistik" - diagnoses and procedures of full-time inpatients in hospitals) of the Federal Statistical Office:The European Short List is a Europe-wide standardised list of selected diagnoses. Apart from the 22 diagnosis chapters of the ICD-10-classification it contains special important three-digit single diagnoses and diagnosis groups (for example tuberculosis, skin cancer). Although all diagnoses are listed according to the ICD-10-code, the short list allows the allocation of the corresponding diagnoses of the ICD-9-code.
