Heart failure
Heart failure is the inability of the heart to transport the required blood volume (cardiac output) without an increase in pressure in the heart atriums. Not only a sickly reduced pump function (systolic heart failure or cardiac muscle weakness) but also a disturbed filling of the heart (diastolic heart failure with normal or even increased pumping) can lead to heart failure.(Source: www.wikipedia.org)
