Deductions
In terms of the Hospital statistics of the Federal Statistical Office:To determine the adjusted costs all costs for non-inpatient services are deducted from the gross overall costs. This particularly involves:
- deductions for scientific research and teaching
- deductions for outpatient services and
- other deductions.
"Other deductions" include especially deductions for:
- preliminary and aftercare inpatient treatments
- medical and non-medical elective services
- services by external practitioners with private beds.
