Hepatitis B
In terms of the Notifiable Infectious Diseases - data collection by Robert Koch Institute:Hepatitis B is an inflammation of the liver that occurs world-wide in humans and is caused by the hepatitis B virus. It is mainly transmitted sexually or by blood. In adults, it mostly heals up, but in 5 to 10 % of the cases it can become chronical and result in liver cirrhosis or liver cancer. There is an effective vaccination.
