Cannabis
In terms of the annual narcotics report of the Federal Office of Criminal Investigation:Cannabis is the generic term for different products from the hemp plant (cannabis sativa). The dried and hackled plant parts containing resin called are marihuana or cannabis herb. The extracted resin from the blossoms and leaves is called hashish or cannabis resin. The agents of the cannabis plants are cannabinoids, especially tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Hashish is in its effect stronger than marihuana. An even stronger form is cannabis concentrate (hashish oil). In this, the agents are enriched by chemical methods. Cannabis is the most frequently used and traded illicit drug in the Federal Republic of Germany. After the consumption of cannabis there are calming, relaxing and mood enhancing effects, but also effects that make anxious and not seldom aggressive. Long-term use can lead to psychological dependency.
