Paratyphoid fever
In terms of the Notifiable Infectious Diseases - data collection by Robert Koch Institute:Paratyphoid fever is caused by the serovars paratyphi A, B and C of the bacterium salmonella enterica. Serovar B is spread worldwide, while the serovars A and C especially are native to warmer countries. The main source of infection are humans, who excrete the bacteria with their faeces. Assimilation takes place via contaminated food, drinking water or direct contact. The symptoms are similar to those of the typhoid fever, but is usually milder.
