Boundaries of insignificance
In accordance with the data from "Turnover and accounts of the statutory pension insurance" from the Federal Ministry for Labour and Social Affairs:The Boundaries of insignificance (for health insurance, pension insurance for workers and employees as well as for unemployment insurance) is the maximum amount that may be earned in low income employment without mandatory insurance payments (1/7 of the monthly reference) if the occupation is regularly performed less than 15 hours per week. (A higher income can also be free of mandatory insurance payments if it does not exceed 1/6 of the employee's total monthly income.) If employment is free from the mandatory health insurance, it is also free from the mandatory nursing care insurance.
