Adenovirus conjunctivitis

Adenoviruses cause various diseases in humans and can be detected in different materials. The obligation to notify the authorities according to the Infection Protection Act is limited to findings on the conjunctiva of the eyes and is aimed especially at the epidemic keratoconjunctivitis, a highly infectious eye inflammation, which can also be transmitted in medical practices via polluted instruments.
