Anthrax

Usually herbivore mammals (production or wild animals are the beginning of the infection chain. Depending on the way of infection the skin (skin anthrax), the lung (lung anthrax) or the intestine (intestine anthrax) can be affected. Untreated, the disease is often fatal. The anthrax bacillus has come to general public interest because of its suitability for bioterrorist attacks.
