Apprenticeship

In terms of the Microcensus of the Federal Statistical Office:
An apprenticeship requires a graduation from a training of at least two years. An equivalent qualification is a graduation certificate from a vocational school for those professions, for which only a vocational school education is possible, for example commercial college (Höhere Handelsschule) or a colloquium in North Rhine-Westphalia as well as a one year school of health care. The vocational preparatory year ("Berufsvorbereitungsjahr") prepares young people without a vocational training contract for professional training.
