Assistance for overcoming special social difficulties and assistance in other circumstances

In terms of the social assistance statistics - recipients of assistance according to chapter 5 to 9 SGB XII of the Federal Statistical Office:
The assistance for overcoming special social difficulties according to chapter 8 SGB XII is addressed at persons, whose especially burdensome living conditions are connected with social difficulties. In particular people affected by homelessness and in connection therewith by other existential problems belong to this addressed group. Chapter 9 SGB XII - assistance in other circumstances - includes several services, i.e. assistance towards continuation of the household, assistance for the elderly, aid to the blind as well as the coverage of funeral costs.
