Deductions

In terms of the Hospital statistics of the Federal Statistical Office:
To determine the adjusted costs all costs for non-inpatient services are deducted from the gross overall costs. This particularly involves:

  • deductions for scientific research and teaching
  • deductions for outpatient services and
  • other deductions.


"Other deductions" include especially deductions for:

  • preliminary and aftercare inpatient treatments
  • medical and non-medical elective services
  • services by external practitioners with private beds.
