Dengue fever

In terms of the Notifiable Infectious Diseases - data collection by Robert Koch Institute:
The virus is transmitted by mosquitoes in over 100 countries in the tropics and subtropics. It causes an acute febrile illness with head and limbs pain and sometimes skin rash. The serious, sometimes fatal forms of the disease with diffuse bleedings (haemorrhagic dengue fever) and circulatory failure (dengue shock syndrome) occur normally only in renewed infections and especially in children, who live in endemic regions.
