Expenditure for assistance for health care

In terms of the Social assistance statistics - expenditure and revenues - of the Federal Statistical Office:
Expenditure for assistance for health care includes the expenditure for preventive health assistance (§ 47 SGB XII), assistance in cases of sickness (§ 48 SGB XII), assistance for family planning (§ 49 SGB XII), assistance for expectant mothers and puerperas (§ 50 SGB XII) as well as assistance for sterilization (§ 51 SGB XII). A registration only takes place here, if the benefit/expenditure was immediately commissioned by the social assistance organization. Data concerning the expenditure of the social assistance organizations for the refunds to health insurance organizations for bearing the costs of sickness treatments according to § 264 Abs. 2 SGB V are collected separately.
