General school certificate

In terms of the microcensus of the Federal Statistical Office :
The general school certificate is defined as school or university attendance for the prescribed period or until successful conclusion of the required examinations. Fulfillment of the general school attendance obligation is considered as completion of education at primary schools. Since some persons may officially complete different levels of education, only the highest level within the classification is taken into account. Those who have completed their education, and having received their certificate of education continue to attend a school or university are also included.
