Haemophilus influenzae, invasive disease

Bacteria of the type haemophilus influenzae cause especially invasive diseases like inflammations of the cerebral membrane, the epiglottis, the bone and muscular tissue as well as sepsis. Disease transmission takes place via droplets or direct contact. In Germany a vaccination in the suckling or toddler age against the capsule type b is recommended.
