Life partnership, Partnerships

In terms of the Microcensus of the Federal Statistical Office:
A life partnership according to the microcensus is defined as partnership, where 2 persons of the same or different sex, who are unmarried or 2 persons of the same sex, who have a marriage certificate or notarial certification live together and manage the household together. Up to and including the microcensus 2005 is was irrelevant, whether the partnership was registered according to Life Partnership Law introduced in 2001. Starting from 2006 also registered life partnerships have been enquired in the microcensus.
