Lymphoma

Collective term for benign and malignant lymphatic gland enlargement. A benign lymphoma is caused by inflammatory processes, for example in the case of infectious mononucleosis, sarcoidosis and toxoplasmosis. In a malignant lymphoma, there is an uncontrolled neoplasia, starting from the lymphatic glands, the tonsils, the spleen or other lymphatic tissues. Malignant lymphomas are divided into Hodgkin's lymphoma and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
