Marburg fever

In terms of the Notifiable Infectious Diseases - data collection by Robert Koch Institute:
Ebola and Marburg viruses form together the family of filoviridae and belong to to the agents causing viral haemorrhagic fever. Marburg viruses exist in Central Africa, Ebola viruses exist in Sudan, Congo, in Gabon, the Ivory Coast and Uganda. In humans they lead to severe febrile courses of disease with bleeding. In previously investigated outbreaks, the mortality was between 30 and 90 percent. The source of infection at the beginning of an outbreak is still unclear; the further disease transfer usually takes places via contact with infected blood or other body fluids.
