New occupational disease pensions
In terms of the Statutory Accident Insurance in Germany:Under "new occupational disease pension" those insurance cases from the total amount of accepted occupational diseases are reported, for which in the reporting year for the first time a pension to persons insured (respectively a compensation) or a pension to surviving dependants (respectively a death benefit) was established via administrative act. The SGB VII states the requirements for pension payments. E.g. a requirement for the payment of a pension to a person insured is the loss of earning capacity by at least 20% beyond the 26th week after the disease. For the other persons insured, who suffer an accepted occupational disease, the accident insurance institutions render cash and non-cash benefits for medical, professional and/or social rehabilitation.
