Number of cases

In terms of the Hospital statistics of the Federal Statistical Office:
The number of cases is calculated by means of patient admissions and discharges. In the Hospital statistics there is a differentiation between a facility oriented and a specialist department oriented number of cases. For the latter, the internal transfers are included. The determination of the number of cases includes the hourly cases and deaths.
