In terms of the Health personnel accounts of the Federal Statistical Office:Physiotherapists develop treatment plans customised for their patients on the basis of medical presciption and carry out the corresponding physio therapeutical measures (for example exercise therapy with and without equipments, breath control, electric therapy, heat therapy, massages). Masseurs and medical bath attendants carry out physio-therapeutical measures on sick, disabled and persons in need of recreation, but also on healthy patients. They massage, but also use other forms of therapy, like exercise therapy, electric therapy or hydrotherapy.
