Plague

Plague is caused by bacteria of the species yersinia pestis. In regions, where plague is common, the bacteria are typically transferred by fleas from infected rodents to humans. There are two types: bubonic plague (affection of lymphatic glands), with no transmission from person to person and pneumonic plague, with quick spreading from person to person.
