Rent/leasing expenditure

In terms of the Cost structure statistics of the Federal Statistical Office:
As the rent for the consulting rooms (including garages) the amount is reported, which had to be paid for the provision and use of consulting rooms in the reporting year. Rent for privately used rooms is not included. In cases where the practice is in the own house, a rent value is applied according to the rent for rooms in the same size and the same locations. If this could not be assessed, the costs of the own property and building are listed (as far as they account for the consulting rooms). These costs include mortgage rates, building amortizations, costs of maintenance and so on. The practice costs for heating, electricity, gas and water are not included. Because of the increasing amount of leasing trade the rents for instruments, computer facilities and suchlike are reported within these expenditures.
