Residential rest homes

In terms of the homes statistics of the Federal Ministry for the Family, the Elderly, Women and Young People:
a residential rest home consists of a group of self-contained apartments, taking into account the needs of older people (be they alone or married couples) in terms of layout, amenities and fittings, and enabling them to lead an independent life as long as possible. A series of possibilities of medical care and services by the home exists whenever necessary, e.g. nursing care, limited according to nature and time required.
