Typhoid fever

In terms of the Notifiable Infectious Diseases - data collection by Robert Koch Institute:
The serovar typhi of the bacteria species (Salmonella enterica) causes this general disease, which is accompany by severe fever, headache and dizziness. Humans are the only reservoir. The transmission takes places faecal-oral via food, water or direct contact. Without antibiotic treatment 2 to 5% of the patients can become chronic carriers.
