Non-marital life partnerships (microcensus 1991 to 1995)
In terms of the Microcensus of the Federal Statistical Office:(valid from 1991 to 1995)
The estimate of non-marital life partnerships made on the basis of microcensus results applies to couples of different sex (with and without unmarried children living in the life partnership), who are not related or married, but keep household together. Not included are persons, who live together, but stated that they each keep an own household. Moreover, the estimate does not include couples, who share their residence with a larger group of people or live with relatives in a household together. Insofar, the official estimate might be under the actual number of non-marital life partnerships. For the period until 1995 there was no direct question about life partnerships in the microcensus.
