Persons subject to compulsory insurance (Compulsory Pension Insurance)
In terms of the Statistics on those actively insured of the German Annuity Insurance Federation:
"Persons subject to compulsory insurance" in the reporting year include all persons, in whose insurance account at least one compulsory contribution was recorded in the respective reporting year. Compulsory contributions are paid or considered as paid for:- periods of employment, compulsorily insured, including periods of employment because of a insured vocational training and besides payment of partial pension or for periods with sliding pay-scale or partial retirement employment as well as periods of insignificant employment (also in private households) with waiving of insurance exemption
- periods in which early retirement benefits were paid
- periods of payment of contribution as founder of a new business
- periods of payment of contribution as skilled craftsmen
- periods of payment of contribution as artists/publicists
- periods of compulsory insurance as self-employed (by law), but without periods of payment of contribution as skilled craftsmen, artist/publicist or founder of a new business
- periods of compulsory insurance as self-employed (by application)
- periods of military/civil service
- periods of compulsory insurance as caregiver
- periods in which benefits were paid according to SGB III respectively unemployment benefits II according to SGB II
- periods in which other social benefits were paid (in the sense of § 3 SGB VI and § 4 Abs. 3 SGB VI)
- periods of parenting.
The "persons subject to compulsory insurance" of the reporting year include also persons with compulsory contribution periods in the reporting period, even if they had died or drawn a pension at the end of the year.
