Net reproduction rate


In terms of the Statistics on the natural movement of the population of the Federal Statistical Office:
The net reproduction rate records the average number of live births of girls by a woman for whom, during her whole life, the age-specific birth rates of a particular year and a particular table of deaths are valid. If this value is above 1, the child generation is correspondingly larger than the previous generation, if it is below 1 correspondingly smaller.
