What are additional possibilities after registration?
The so-called guest user has access to all informations in the information system of the Federal Health Monitoring. However, registered users' baskets will still be accessible in the next session.
What can I do if a keyword search does not return any results?
There are several options:
- Use only the beginning of a keyword, e.g. insur instead of insurances.
- Activate Full-Text Retrievalor use the option "... exactly this and similar sounding terms".
- Use the Topics on the left side of the screen. Via Topics you have access to the same pool of informations as via keyword search.
Does the system always offer the latest informations?
Not always, because the input process takes some time.

. = Data unknown or confidential - = Nothing 0 = Less than half of the last occupied digit but more than nothing X = Item is meaningless / = Data statistically unreliable ( ) = Limited meaning, value is statistically quite unreliable. What is ICD?
ICD is the International Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems. It is the base for tabulating e.g. the Statistics on the causes of death and the Diagnostic data of the hospital patients.
Do I have to use quotation marks around my keywords?
No
Is there a way to download the Health Report for Germany?
The Health Report can be downloaded as an english abstract via "Topics" under "Health Monitoring" - "Health Report".
Where can I find information about contact persons for health related data sources in Germany?
Use the term Data sourcein the keyword-search and choose the option "Additional search in all texts (Full-Text Retrieval)". The resulting list of almost 200 data sources can be shortened by adding additional search terms, e.g. Data source dentists.
