Comment(s)

• The characteristics "Specialist department" was - wherever possible - adapted to the current publication.
  Therefore, for older years different figures for individual specialized departments are possible:

• Starting from 2002 "pediatric surgery" and "plastic surgery" are no longer part of "surgery".
• Starting from 2007 "geriatics" is no longer part of "internal medicine".
• The figures for "psychosomatics" were assigned to the specialist department "psychotherapeutical medicine", which was introduced in 2002.
• The figures for "pulmonary and bronchial medicine" were assigned to the specialist department "pulmonology", which was introduced in 2002.

• Since 2004 the healthy liveborn infants (Z38) have been recorded. Since 2006 they are only included in the sum "gynaecology and obstetrics".

• The table was extended by the year 2022 on 15 Dec 2023.
  Information for a new reporting period will be added as soon as it is available.
