• Starting from 2005 there are no structured data by federal states available.
• Starting from 2007, the quota of inability to work corresponds to the members with a claim to sick-pay, who are ill and unable to work, in percent of the members with a claim to sick-pay, also during the period of continued payment by the employer; until 2006 the quota corresponds to the obligatory members, who are ill and unable to work without pensioners, students, minors and disabled persons, artists, conscripts in military/civilian or border policing service, persons with agricultural enterprises, recipients of unemployments benefit II (Arbeitslosengeld II) as well as early retirement benefits. Reference date is always the 1st day of the month. From these 12 reference values of one year the yearly quota of inability to work is calculated as an arithmetic mean.
• Starting from 2005 the recipients of unemployment benefit II ("Arbeitslosengeld II") are no longer considered.
